Monika Horsky graduated with a master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Vienna in 2010. After five years in an academic laboratory, she is currently working as an analytical chemist and quality manager at the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) laboratories located in Austria. In the former function, she is involved in organization and statistical evaluation of IAEA’s proficiency testing exercises in analytical chemistry with a focus on trace elements in terrestrial environmental samples. As a quality manager, she is supporting IAEA’s reference material production activities and ISO 17034 accreditation. In addition, she is a technical officer for IAEA technical cooperation projects aimed at building the capacity of environmental laboratories, with a particular emphasis on laboratory quality assurance. Monika joined the Eurachem PT working group in 2017.
